Local Honey - Dover, NH
Northern Honey Bees keeps hives at pollinator friendly farms in Dover, Lee, and Rollinsford, New Hampshire. Honey bees forage in a two mile radius around the hive so honey is made from the nectar of a delicious variety of wildflowers and flowering trees. This means flavor and color will vary as the seasons change and different plants come into bloom. In this area some of the major nectar plants are dandelion, black locust, blackberry, basswood, purple loosestrife, japanese knotweed, goldenrod, and aster.
My honey is available year round in one pound jars at the Tuckaway Farm Store in Lee, at Hickory Hill Farm in Dover during strawberry season, and at my house in Dover by appointment. Look for the honey with the dog on the label.
